ASB Avionics proudly announces the FAA approval of their new Five Display L382G Instrument Panel including the newly designed Consolidated Annunciator Panel, Landing Gear Control and Hydraulic Control Panel

Mojave, CA, October 3, 2008 - ASB Avionics LLC (ASB) proudly announces the FAA approval of the amendment to STC ST01162LA adding a newly designed Consolidated Annunciator Panel, Landing Gear Control Panel and Hydraulic Control Panel for the L382G (civilian version of the C-130H) cargo aircraft. The upgrade was accomplished as the “next step” in preparation for the upcoming Digital Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) and WAAS/RNP enabled Flight Management System (FMS) to be certified the second quarter of 2009.

The Consolidated Annunciator Panel collects many of the formally individually located annunciations into one common panel. Each individual annunciation retains its direct connection to its respective system. The individual systems annunciation will remain illuminated until the fault is corrected. Aside from the common warning and caution systems displayed, the CAP can be configured per customer requirement.

The Landing Gear Control Panel operates the same as previously installed; however, the electro-mechanical landing gear position annunciations have been replaced with illuminated annunciations. From a human factors standpoint the Landing Gear Control Panel is more centralized in a location allowing for access by either the Captain or First Officer as required.

The upgraded Hydraulic Control Panel retains the same functionality as in unmodified installations; however, the following changes are part of the upgrade: System control toggle switches are replaced with annunciated pushbutton switches. Engraved panel symbology changes. The brake anti-skid control is included. The pressure gauges are illuminated with eyebrow lighting. Provides master hydraulic caution annunciation to the CAP.
